The dimensional accuracy of precision molds often reaches μ Class M.
2. Complex shape and surface: the surface of some products, such as automobile panels, aircraft parts, toys and household appliances, is composed of a variety of curved surfaces. Therefore, the mold cavity surface is very complex. Some surfaces must be treated mathematically.
3. Small batch: the production of molds is not mass production. In many cases, only one pair is produced.
4. Multiple processes: milling, boring, drilling, reaming, tapping and other processes are always used in die processing.
5. Repetitive production molds have a service life: when the service life of a pair of molds exceeds its service life, it is necessary to replace new molds, so the production of molds is often repetitive.
6. There are neither drawings nor data in the production of profiling processing mold, and profiling processing shall be carried out according to the real object. This requires high imitation accuracy and no deformation.
7. The mold material is excellent and has high hardness. The main materials of the mold are mostly made of high-quality alloy steel, especially the high-life mold, which is often made of ledeburite steel such as Crl2 and CrWMn.
